Geboorteaangifte

De geboorte van een kind moet binnen 3 dagen aangegeven worden in de gemeente waar het kind geboren is.

Wie moet aangifte doen?

  • De vader of moeder van het kind
  • Iemand die bij de bevalling aanwezig is geweest

Wanneer kunt u aangifte doen?

  • Geboorte op maandag? Dan aangifte uiterlijk op donderdag.
  • Geboorte op dinsdag? Dan aangifte uiterlijk op vrijdag
  • Geboorte op woensdag? Dan aangifte uiterlijk op maandag
  • Geboorte op donderdag? Dan aangifte uiterlijk op maandag
  • Geboorte op vrijdag? Dan aangifte uiterlijk op dinsdag
  • Geboorte op zaterdag? Dan aangifte uiterlijk op dinsdag
  • Geboorte op zondag? Dan aangifte uiterlijk op woensdag
  • Valt de laatste aangiftedag op een algemeen erkende feestdag? Dan kunt u de aangifte nog op de eerstvolgende werkdag doen
  • Doet u na de bovengestelde termijnen aangifte, dan wordt dit gemeld bij de officier van Justitie.

Wat neemt u mee?

  • Een legitimatiebewijs van de aangever
  • Eventueel een geboortebewijs, opgesteld door de verloskundige
  • Eventueel kopie van de erkenningsakte. Die hebt u als een kind al voor de geboorte is erkend. Zie ook: erkennen ongeboren kind
  • In geval van lesbisch ouderschap neemt u ook de donorverklaring mee
